My cousin Jadys Milagros lived with a strength most people will never understand. Her body went through battles that would have broken many people, but her spirit kept rising. Again and again, she faced pain, fear, illness, and moments where life tried to take her breath away — and still, she kept going.

She cheated death more than once, not because life was easy, but because her heart was powerful. Because something inside her refused to surrender. Because her soul carried a fire that could not be explained, only felt.

She was supposed to turn the same age as me. That thought sits heavy on my heart. It reminds me that life is not promised, that time is sacred, and that every person we love is a gift we should never take for granted.
